Texas Hill Country has become both a guest and guide favorite with quiet roads, live music and surprisingly charming Texas towns. This is one of our best tours for intermediate to advanced cyclists!
This tour will show you another side to the state you probably never thought existed; lush fields bursting with vibrant bluebonnets, evocative cypress forests and old world small town wineries. NOTE: In the fall there is a 2nd wildflower bloom in October. This journey around one of the Lone Star Stateโs most beautiful regions both surprises and delights.
This tour is a cyclistโs dream. With lightly traveled back-country roads, Texas-sized hospitality and delicious regional cuisine, this 6-day spin through the Texas Hill Country is one of the best kept secrets in the country. It delivers an exceptional start or end to the bike-touring season.
We have worked with locals to devise a route on single and two-lane roads with little traffic. The routes wind through rolling limestone hills, past wineries and through quiet river valleys under the shade of giant cypress trees. The destination towns have a rich history of independent German and Irish immigrants who fought off Comanche and Apache Indians to settle there.ย There is a little taste of Europe in Hill Country with a Texas flair.
